Believe Program: incentive for Brazilian entrepreneurs

Access to credit is one of the biggest problems for entrepreneurs with micro and small businesses.

This is because, in general, this type of business seeks credit for growth, and most banks prioritize guarantees.

The Believe Program was announced on April 22, 2024, and so far promises to facilitate the acquisition of credit for those enrolled in CadÚnico and entrepreneurs.

This facilitation of credit occurs through the creation of special credit lines for each audience, focused on better payment conditions and interest reduction.

Therefore, it is common knowledge that access to credit is essential to guarantee achievements, especially for people classified as low income or for small businesses.

There is still not much information about the practical functioning of the program, but the promises are that it will address and resolve obstacles that hinder the acquisition of lines of credit for these audiences.

What are the core areas of activity of the Believe Program?

You probably know that simply granting credit does not solve the problems of those who need it most.

This is especially true for those facing debt situations, which certainly makes everything even more difficult.

For this reason, the Believe Program will work through axes of action, which aim to solve specific problems related to obtaining a line of credit. Look:

First step

Low-income families are the main losers in obtaining credit, and that is why the first axis of the Believe Project is precisely the First step.

This axis aims to provide access to microcredit for those enrolled in CadÚnico, including:

  • Low-income families registered with CadÚnico;
  • Women;
  • Informal and self-employed workers;
  • Small rural producers in the programs: Food Acquisition Program (PAA) and Rural Development.

The purpose of this microcredit is to help build a credit history, in addition to providing better opportunities for social and financial access.

Your Business

The second axis of the Believe Program is aimed at entrepreneurs in the MEI, Micro and Small Business categories.

The focus of this axis is to promote the renegotiation of business debts, so that it can be implemented and thus access credit lines.

To achieve this, the program intends to offer 4 different channels for renegotiation, these being:

  • Develops Small Businesses;
  • ProCred 360;
  • Pronampe renegotiation;
  • MPE Sebrae.

Real Estate Credit

Access to real estate credit lines for middle-class families that do not qualify for housing programs such as Minha Casa Minha Vida and CDHU can be a problem.

Therefore, the aim of the Real Estate Credit of the Believe Program is precisely to offer housing credit lines with reduced interest rates to these families.

In this way, obtaining your own home will become simpler for those who are not entitled to the category's social programs, but who are also unable to afford the high conventional fees.

Believe Program – Sustainable Brazil

Finally, the last axis of the Believe Program aims to encourage investment and action by companies focused on environmental preservation, to build a Sustainable Brazil.

Therefore, this axis is focused on:

  • Government entities involved in sustainability;
  • Sustainable project companies;
  • Foreign investors.

The idea is to provide improvements to the Brazilian environment, favoring sustainable processes throughout the country.

When will it be possible to participate in the program?

We still don't have much information about practical participation in the Believe Program, as the Government has not yet released any news since the announcement on April 22nd.

However, it is expected that procedures will be implemented this year to begin serving the program's target audiences.

Therefore, if you are part of the public served by any of the 4 axes, it is important to keep an eye on news from the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Microenterprise and Small Business.
