What happens if I don't update the data in CadÚnico?

CadÚnico is the main gateway to benefits from the Brazilian government, as we have already mentioned.

To have access to these initiatives, programs and benefits, it is essential to be registered in this system.

However, to continue having access, it is essential to update the information in this database.

The update is mandatory every 24 months, that is, two years. However, whenever there are changes to the family registry, such as a change of address, family composition or income, it is important to update this data.

Therefore, to have no benefits suspended or blocked, be sure to update your information every two years or whenever there is a change in family data.

How to update CadÚnico?

To update your CadÚnico, the first step is to schedule an appointment at the CRAS in your city.

On the scheduled day, show up with documentation from family members and documents proving the change.

If you have school-age children, don't forget to also bring the school declaration, which proves that the children continue to attend school and to update the grade in their registration as well.

To monitor your registration and check if it needs updating, download the Single Registry app.

In addition to seeing your data is up to date, you can find other services, such as:

  • Consultation of the form;
  • Registration request;
  • Registration update by confirmation (it is possible to update some data through the app);
  • My benefits;
  • CNIS consultation;
  • Proof of registration;
  • Service stations;
  • Social programs;
  • Validate proof of registration.

Therefore, to follow the update, find out about all the programs available through Cadastro Único and have access to other important resources, download the application and log in with the same details as Meu Gov.br.

Benefits that registered members of the Cadastro Único are entitled to and that they may lose if they do not update their data

So far, we know that CadÚnico is the gateway to many benefits and social programs.

Furthermore, it is also clear how important it is to keep this registration up to date so as not to lose access to benefits.

Speaking of benefits, did you know that it is possible to receive more than one financial resource from the government?

Or even participate in several social programs at the same time?

For example, Bolsa Família beneficiaries are entitled to Vale-Gás. Just like BPC policyholders, they can receive Bolsa Família, as long as they meet the income requirements.

See below a complete list of social programs that those registered with CadÚnico can access:

It is very important that, although they are part of the same system, each program and initiative has its own rules and particularities.

Therefore, it is essential to know the rules and requirements to see which ones you can participate in.

Here, on our blog, you will find more complete content about many of these benefits. Don't forget to check it out.
