What is Enceja

The Enceja, or National Examination for certification of skills for young people and adults, is a type of assessment aimed at granting certification of high school completion for young people and adults who did not complete it at the right age.

Enceja is an alternative to the National High School Exam (And either) for those who wish to obtain a basic education diploma.

Through this exam there is the possibility of obtaining a certificate of completion of both primary and secondary education.

Candidates can choose to take the tests for one or both stages, depending on their study situation.

The test encompasses several areas of knowledge for primary education, involving subjects such as:

What skills are required when writing for Enceja?

Writing is one of the important parts of Enceja and is assessed based on five skills, according to the criteria established by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep).

One of the main functions of writing for Enceja is the student's ability to write following the rules and norms of the Portuguese language.

It is assessed whether the candidate knows how to apply grammar, spelling, punctuation and whether the sentences are structured correctly.

The examiner assesses the candidate's ability to understand the proposed topic, relate it to concepts from different areas of knowledge and develop a dissertation-argumentative text.

This text must be logical, coherent and cohesive, as well as having a clear and organized structure, with a beginning, middle and end.

In addition, the ability to use language resources to create good arguments that are sustainable and coherent is also analyzed. This includes the use of quotes, comparisons, and other resources.

Therefore, we can list the competencies as follows:

  1. Demonstration of correct use and standard norms of the Portuguese language, including grammar, punctuation and spelling;
  2. Preparation of an argumentative dissertation text with a clear thesis and well-developed arguments;
  3. Selection, organization and interpretation of information;
  4. Knowledge of linguistic mechanisms for argumentation;
  5. Preparation of an intervention proposal (only for students who will take Enceja for high school).

How not to write the essay for enceja to zero?

Sometimes, due to not reading the notice, or even due to lack of attention, the Enceja candidate can fail the test.

The first step is to write more than five lines of text, any writing with less than five lines will automatically be reset.

Writing texts in a foreign language, other than Portuguese, can also cause your writing to be written off.

Furthermore, if it does not have an intervention proposal, it will not be considered either.

Any type of speech that violates human rights, including discriminatory, prejudiced speech or speech that incites violence, may result in a zero grade.

If the candidate completely copies the motivating texts provided in the test, without carrying out their own production, the essay will be reset.

If the examiner cannot understand what is written due to drawings, illegible letters or completely incomprehensible text, the writing may be reset.

It is worth mentioning that the text of the essay must be truthful, false or untrue information must not be used deliberately, the essay may be written off.
